Breast Feeding Might Prevent Breast Cancer

Researchers recently found that women who breastfeed for two years or longer during their lifetime have a greatly reduced chance of developing breast cancer. The study was performed on mice, and it was found that those who nursed had a much stronger survival rate.

Breast cancer ravages thousands of American women every year. Many have to go through years of chemotherapy, others have to deal with the painful loss of one or both of their breasts, in a mastectomy. Breast cancer also claims lives.

Breast reduction surgery is another way to greatly decrease your odds of getting breast cancer in the future. With less tissue to infect, cancer cannot spread as rapidly in smaller breasts. If you have large breasts, have never breastfed and are concerned about breast cancer, contact your plastic surgeon for more information about reduction procedures today!
