Hormones in Water Resulting in Necessary Breast Reductions

England’s top newspaper, The Times, recently reported that the number of men seeking breast reduction surgery in Great Britain has more than doubled in just one year. Many may be tempted to attribute this to trends in obesity and overeating, but researchers found that the breast tissue that was removed from the men was not fatty deposits, but rather, mammary gland tissue, which is typically only found in women.

Many experts speculate that this strange growth has been caused by hormones in England’s water supply, which make men more effeminate. Trace amounts contraceptive drugs, as well as hormones, which promote growth of farm animals have been found in tap water.

Also, hormones that are injected into food, such as that served in fast food restaurants may also be causing the problem.
